Every year, the Georgian College Design and Visual Arts department hosts a grad show that gives students an opportunity to showcase their portfolio of work. The show welcomes industry professionals from all areas of design the opportunity to network and job search.
As part of marketing and advertising efforts leading up to the show, Georgian hosts a competition for all arts students to design the promotional poster. For the 2023 year, my poster was selected as the winning design and subsequently used digitally and physically across Georgian platforms to promote the show.

The design reflects extreme geometric intricacy – using shapes and angles to establish harmony and emphasis. Type is treated as a complimentary element of the poster, contrasting the otherwise uniform composition of shape and line. The colour palette takes advantage of a mix of both opposite and complementary colours to establish a calming mood for the viewer.
